Day 326
8:47 pm
–
three years
–
Is it too much to ask?
A letter.
A card.
A declaration of love in front of
stangers on the promenade?
A serenade to wake me up in the
morning.
It can be a Van Halen medley for
all I care.
Must you simply
say nothing,
go nowhere,
never change,
and
remain the same person
stubbornly attached
to the same corner,
of the same couch,
playing the same video game,
with the same touch,
the same damn ear
and voice of reason,
each time,
waiting,
right there for me,
always,
no matter what,
all these years?
Yes.
Okay.
Good.
