Day 334
1:11 am
–
for longing
–
were it not for longing,
would we have much
beyond our initial meeting
to speak of
between these
old sheets?
those days when your
letters hung low on the
branches of my front porch
to tickle my curiosities
with glistening fruits
I long for young words from
your lips to dangle off my
ripe ears, fleshy pieces of
your reflections dripping
down to my feet
remind me, please, of what
seeds you planted to entice
me to come forth
in the very first place and
I will lead from now, and
not longing…I will know now
