haiku sets in costa mesa


a tiny cafe
dude in a suit on a cell
speaking way too loud

he keeps looking up
he wants me to notice him
at least, so i think

he is one of those who is
but thinks he is not

beyond parts of speech
he sighs, grunts in Japanese

eh-toh neh, soo desu…Itsuuuu? mm..soo desu
white people are strange


what is she thinking…
