Day 39
8:10 pm – 9:30 pm

let’s

let us not discard kindness for
the comedy of blunt expression
let us not rid ourselves of bluntness for
the sake of ingenuous niceties

let us never confuse the genuine search for positive truth
for insincere, self-conscious diplomacy

let us rid ourselves of everything
that bludgeons honesty
let us grow our words to stem from
compassion and curiosity
may we somehow maintain respect for humility
and that we know so little of most things

let us be immaculate
to our words
let us trust that our language can involve
emotion, humor, mindfulness, love

the world loves a rush

the

world loves him

why

when did it become fashionable to value

what Others work so hard to diminish

what does he unleash?

only what has been there all along

a virus?

a historic

pervasive

anything
but
little

one

we are just viewers
to the reborn
cog
of a mainstream
that learned well
the
speak

of rights
and justice
without taking
life-steps
on walking
with the color
of forbidden feet

dormant They did lay
until their thoughts
were given voice
through a malady of
a
radio
show

and alive
They did
become
and come as
They were
as invigorated as parasites
in a new life-cycle

and when They
say “He is just being honest. He tells it like it is. He-”
my stomach
does
turn in to a sour
wretched
twist

the way Theirs
does, too,
when
They
mistake my respect of how someone asks to be addressed
for
Political Correctness

when P.C.
is released in to the atmosphere
i do shudder

when his
tone
travels near my personal space
i
vomit
at least
a little

my form
flushes
to a fever
from his pitch
that sends
me the
chills

it is everything
my determination
can muster
to focus
on how
to kill
this disease

but i do not
wish for
him
to die
it will do
so much less than
we believe it should

his
tongue
is a mere representative
for the common
will
of too
many

for the common
will
of some
for the too common will of the many
who live for the rush of
no
good

*
i hate P.C.

*

Do Not Be
Politically Correct

we are
not
asking for
Political Correctness
we are asking you to give a shit
LONG ENOUGH
to
ASK
why
we give a shit
about that lame-ass
word
you’re throwing in our face.
