Day 50
1:55 am – 2:45 am

with all of you

In this house
When
the body is lifted from thirst and hunger there is often celebration
in the form of relief with collapse on to the couch, especially now

Like in these eyes and chest
Where
the lungs are fatigued from a long day of work and an evening of so
much laughing, and smiling, and deep, wholehearted breathing

And in this life
What
with a simple, resplendent finale such as the one we witnessed tonight
and left the better with each other, exhausted and molded for more

How can I ever measure the sum of light that lifts the weight from this
city because of all of you

Like in this heart
Why
i will fall asleep entirely transported, grateful, and whole, that i may
dream ever brilliantly, ever so soundly, ever so full
