Day 56
11:50 pm – 12:40 am

Done In

You been

She did what it is to be you
back then

at a time when your love came to hang
on a whim

before when for you it was
in

sitting in the middle of bitterness
spewing in the midst of sadness
remaining still sans forgiveness

and it is leaving you or maybe it never did
really exist

Regardless, she stands to win gains of the swift
and painless

Because you know waiting around for her words
is worth less

you can feel your head rising to greet the path of
your past
to hold yourself close and find the one you might recognize
once again
and sit with yourself to feel the love for her that might
be bigger than you

At least, for the time being

And not to say she won’t go missed

She traveled far with your offerings,
took a turn with you,
and wove you in to unraveling

Yes, deep inside is where she’s been

But she never did bring the best to
the best of you within
