Day 78
11:34 pm – 12:31 pm

the souls sing

the souls sing in bouts
throughout this city
and it is live tonight
like shot cries the
bread knife spies
take it easy
be smooth
go with a flow
we are figuring it out
as we search for new ways
to taste the sea sprays
through crafty smiling arches
opening up to the clouds
like rainbows stretching out
toward the peaks of the moon

i hear them crying
through shouting
by spelling out in etchings
how they feel what they know
is their best way to sing
we line the floor with our dance
and hastily strewn taps
that connect body maps
who disconnect from
spirit trappings
the ones carving
an unyielding path
for all the darkness
we dart past to draw
everyone to the room

we gather the fairy dust
so we may take ourselves
on a road trip to turn messes
in to mountains of gold
nothing is burning there
but we are surrounded
by the best of the highest
boulders we will ever dare to ascend
no one nothing we agree none
of any one will stop us
from free climbing this joyful
frightful evening we will blow
poetry notes upon its head
daring all yes everyone to fiercely spin
but catch themselves before the swoon
