Day 81
3:08 pm – 4:00 pm

never stranger

coffee gets handled by careful hands
and we are the better for it sitting by
our laptops on stools in a cramped
cafe space with an 80’s soundtrack

in between
What have you done for me lately
It’s a nice day to start agaaaain

there are many reasons to speak
as many as there are to send out
the don’t-talk-to-me vibe
you never know what you’ll get

our knees bounce with
Gonna turn and le-heave you-whooeee
Ahh-shh, push it

so what the hell
he seems nice enough
and maybe I’m biased but his
smile renders him trustworthy

time passes the day
Dooon’t forget me when I’m gone
Send me an angel, oowoo oo ooo

comfort builds as there is
assurance no one is hitting on
anyone, it’s just good conversation
in good caffeinated fun

bouts of talk between work and
When the work-in day is done, oh girls
A new sen-sa-tion, a new sen-sa-tion

the gloomy, rainy sky outside reveals
itself in a fine day as the conversation
gives a nod to our mutual wavelength or
mutual craziness, whatever, it’s mutual

Ooo-oh, crazaay
Who can it beee now?

we exchange dreams, philosophy, and find
we have the same damn love of Art, People,
ponderance and no wonder i like talking to
strangers, you were never a stranger, stranger
