Day 83
10:07 pm – 10:51 pm

happy Nobuko birthday

You were thrown upon the earth
to leap across its oceans teaching us
ways to follow in order to lead our own
stories to the forefront, in to the fold

We are born into a constant overflow
of virtue and grace due to the mere history
and existence of your stride

It is the sea where you grew crops of
tidal songs that sweep up and bathe
our generations whether or not they think
they’ve ever swum through the accord

It is your melody that begs us to
exchange shells and rake the sand
long enough together so we may see
how better to build our castles

Do you watch us now and wonder
of what we will become and who
we go to in our moments of fear?

Know we look to the water and see
the vision you planted as it
is bountiful there among the waves,
and we build the better for it,
and we dance alongside your dance
