Day 88
8:05 pm – 8:35 pm

secret wishes

When she’s on 3 am and caffeine

When she’s carrying 4 ½ hours
of interrupted sleep and
360 miles plus that extra 20 + 20
for missing the 152 westbound

When she’s yet to purge a cup of
cream of chicken soup, 3 pieces of
crusty bread, 2 slices of margherita pizza,
and 1 spinach ravioli

Prime, people, we’re talking prime.

This is the time to ask.

She’ll tell you all of her secrets.

Well, maybe one or two.

Like how her Dad spent a ton of money, honey,
but on what, who knows, it’s a mystery even
she wishes she knew the details of
to be able to tell you.

Or how she wishes she never told her Dad at age 29
that he should stop waiting for grandchildren, that
it might not happen, yeah, she could have spared his
disappointment since he died just a few years later

Told ya.
