Day 100
12:51 am – 1:14 am

the players

a frog came to his stage
and laid a puddle across
it for the audience to see
solely with their untainted

a bird cried for a new life
under wings of wisdom
that taught her to fly for
herself and be wary of the
snake beside her hunger

a man was so excited at
introducing a grand finale
he first turned into the fuel
that gave him the breath
to become the firecracker

sometimes there is fodder
for metaphor and other
times we are lucky enough
to laugh alongside those
who are the storied story

they compliment our soul
desires to become more
than what we’d otherwise
be in our daily lives and
restless, crazy minds
