Day 112
12:02 am – 12:22 am

sugar tooth

the gummi bears
are trying to escape
their plastic container

there is the pink one
he is on his way
very soon

don’t you see
they were signaled
by the crippled ant

as the silver fish claimed
to be a benevolent scout
in cahoots

with the Raggedy Ann crew
she didn’t mean to kill
the ants

until they threatened
to go after the precious
gummi clan

everyone needs them
to stay alive, you see,
for their sheer brilliance

their balance of all
things artificial and
seemingly wholesome

it is why you love them
and why they fear you
your love

is hasty and overwhelming
they know they stand no
chance against your hunger
