Day 122
9:53 pm – 10:13 pm

selfish

be selfish today

take every moment
and think the best of the worst
of yourself

make extractions of gluttony
and brew tea for the goddesses
of your fantasies

pull back from harm and
fall happily toward
the haphazard
shadows of your
undeniable light

thank the two moons
in back of you
and
go forth
to cook up
the gold from your stock

now put the world in it
in there
somewhere
well,
everywhere

it is there
we will find
the magnificence of ourselves

push back the urge to
hold your breath
while you drink
the swirl of
our unmistakable sky

make light of the
strident seriousness
of what it really
takes us
all
to fly

take every moment
and put the best
in to the worst
of you
on
behalf of every
one

be ready to call for more

be glory on the path

be the burst against the mold

be selfish for the world
