Day 142
8:45pm – 9:25pm

Lost & Found in J-Town

An elderly Japanese man
Walking up and
Down the old
Blocks of Little Tokyo
Draped himself with
An american flag
Barely covering
The large portrait
Of Jesus over his belly
Slung by a rope
Around his neck
Crowned himself
In sweat by walking
For hours on end

Everyone thought he
Was crazy
But no one knew
He was muttering
In spanish
And a little japanese

At one point he
Could imagine
If he were returned
To his family in
Peru or even
Placed in Japan
But since neither
Were an option
He went ahead and
Lost his sense
