Day 168 – Stumbled upon you

Day 168
1:00 pm – 1:25 pm

Stumbled upon you

Could not read one more
Of your’s

Already behind
On my schedule
So I could not
Afford any of
You coming in to rip
Out that piece of me
Wanting to
Weep
Now

Without something
Better than my hand
To wipe my nose

In the middle
Of a bookstore
Where I came
To find a good
Travel selection
With this
Coupon today

I’ve forgotten
Where to look

Still searching
Through
Your words
And
Death
And
The way Kaiser
Smells at midnight
(Just like any other
Part of the day,
Really)

In the middle
Of this
Bookstore

Bright lights
And
Not enough
Air circulating

Dragging my feet
Through messy
Aisles

I can’t seem to find
My way
Around
