Day 172
3:18 pm – 3:35 pm

three little birds

What
is
that,
Mommy?

Oh, it’s nothing dear
Go back to sleep

but it
reminds me
of my
dream

a UFO
or a time
machine
came by

shining lights
on my
window
with messages

like bedtime
picture books
with dreadful
illustrations

like
stars
bursting into
terrible flames

like
three birds
tangled
in their nest

falling
from
the
sky

why
was that,
Mommy,
why?

.
