Day 179
7:40 pm

Dreamt on what I would say to Bradley Whitford

Because all I know of you is
What Josh Lyman is to me

And that is why I like you
Very much

But you can’t be all

You can’t be the
The guy
Who can’t have the talk
Who is buried behind strategies
Who thinks his wrinkled forehead and
smirking eyebrows will save him everytime
That will get you far
Say, about seven seasons
But at some point you’ll have
to prove you’re not just a charming smart guy
who knows his way around a debate well enough
to avoid a conversation of the intimate kind altogether
And you’re white
You’re very white
You’ll have to be aware of that
Very aware

Are you Jewish?

That last part would have the casual barely open-mouthed deadpan of a
CJ Craig
With the emotional language awareness of a

As if.

I do avoid you sometimes

Because you didn’t mean
To stick a plug in my chest
When you said you wanted
Me to go over all that material
So you’d pay for me to stay
Overnight at the Miyako
And I knew you wouldn’t
Try anything but
It still felt wrong
