Day 189
6:58 pm

Hangers and Ghosts (Shudder)

At the intersection
Of Mission and Workman

Thrift store in the foreground
L.A. Coroners building in the back

We go shopping
To seek deals
On the nightgowns of ghosts

To slip our arms through starchy
Buttondowns of ashen soldiers

To drape our shoulders with
The musty smell of time
Mixed with mothballs woven
Into polyester sportcoats

To wonder what misfortune
Came before our find
