Day 224
3:03 am

sickness

“Many psychologists and psychiatrists have demonstrated
that there is no relationship between celibacy and pedophilia.
But many others have demonstrated, I have been told recently,
that there is a relation between homosexuality and pedophilia.
That is true. That is the problem.”
– Cardinal Tarcisio Bertone, Vatican Secretary of State

.

.

there is a dark wound
traversing like
gangrene through
the spiritual tissue
of a priest
who would rather
turn on his fellow man
before
turning himself in

lies disguised
as education,
not a sin?

or are we to grant
tolerance to
this way
of a priest,
turning one man’s illness
into lashing
of another’s
Love

to hide out with the lie
until it is beholden
to being beloved,
grasping it long enough
until it is deeply
woven into the fabric of
general understanding

would he rather
walk with a
shaky soul
underneath
his cloak
as he stumbles
to the back
of the old cathedral
where he will
light a fire to
Truth
and hope
to disperse its ashes
among the dead

#@

I never even caught up
with
Email

never
got used to the
assumptions
on tone of voice
(colon, semi colon,
and parentheses)

or the meaning
of regular usage
(is “soon” three minutes
or three days)

or how people
turned in conversation
for
“Did you see my email,
you’ll see my email”

so
Why
would I know or care
about the difference
between the
at sign
and a hash tag
