Day 250
4:40pm

Free Fly

From time to time
Chance
Waves its hand

You get that wrinkled forehead

I get that look in my eye

My face juts forward as
Enticement coaxes my hair back
And pats my shoulders down

Chest and chin lift toward the sky
To support my heart’s delighted
inquiry on the pending journey

Heels then my toes
Rise
And suddenly I’ve
Become a
Balloon
Floating

My first reaction is to smile

Your first reaction is to jump up
And grab my string

Do you serve best to ground me?

Or
let
me
Fly free

.
