Day 257
1:17 am

rest as we continue

it is all too brief
and fragile

when it is gone
in a moment

and i don’t know
what to say
i met you once

but thought about
you often
as so many do

anytime we think
of the
Dream Act

we’d often return
to you
consider you
your words
your efforts
your film

we had never
considered this

because it really
wasn’t supposed
to happen this way
no matter what
we tell ourselves

the shock

it is a true feeling

due to this absence
all too sudden

and this ending
all too soon

Rest In Peace
because of you,
we continue

(RIP T. Tran and C. Felix Perez)
