Day 270
8:18 pm

sijo on a friday

although she knows she must seek out the earth to find herself
and if it were not for the lakes and rivers, she would feel fine
she gravitates toward the mudslides, stuck where she feels safe

he was not of this world, everyone surrounding him knew this
then he met a girl who came to love him before leaving him
so his heart let him know he was human, broken to pieces

surely there are aliens looking down at us with concern
oil slicked nooses burying our noses in seedless ground
pushing this planet to its edge, they know we are on our way
