Day 273
6:13 pm

rules, logic and surprise
(T. Monk)

like anyone creating their own world in order
to survive,
and that’s everyone,
he lived with rules that made sense and
broke apart the ones that did not
and so served his logic
to desire magic
in the surprise of
his daily life

tkk

euphemisms and false notions

friendly fire
internment camps
concentration camps

white lies
white collar criminal
detainee

resident alien
illegal alien
alien

writers block
made it
full-time artist

self-employed
rich
safe

tkk

rest

it’s tough, isn’t it?
even if i don’t agree
for what or why

they
in their mind
fought
for this country

and so they did

who am i
to do anything
but fight with
a government
who puts people
in harms way
by selling
superiority
democracy
and
fear

to say anything
except
Rest In Peace
in remembrance

and even though
war
is always wrong

soldiers and civilians
broke skin
and now they
are dead

it’s what makes
a day like
today
feel hard
