Day 286
10:00 pm

To thank you – 1

To thank you for your
ideals, brilliance and action
would never be enough

To
Act

To
Act
is for what you are waiting

It has begun
in us already

Though we may still
be reeling

None can help the
wheels burning at each turn
of every plan, or some dream
we scribbled down three
months ago, or an idea
laying crumpled in stacks
we intended to tend to
before we blamed time
for our excuses

Blowing dust,
Pressing our palms
across the paper,
Walking even faster,

Dormancy not only
ceases to exist

It is impossible

green

i forgot to pull the ficus back into the house
out of direct sunlight

when i attempted to give it extra water
the leaves turned yellow and fell off altogether

it seemed likely i killed it as with every other
plant i have ever owned

i decided to leave it alone for a week
without more water

today the tree reminded me of the possibilities
in 7-day cycles of rebirth

its every branch has leaves
they are green again

    Hi Traci!

So I’ve already already subscribed to you. On the top there’s a drop down section labeled “blog info” and there’s a selection known as “follow this blog”. So that’s how I’m following you.

Why yes, I do write. Just click on the link/name that I used to subscribe to you and you will see my blog

    Have a great day!
    Andrew
