Day 295
1:00 pm

3 samurai cats

what of those three
who sat in a booth to
nap together in their dreams
do they think now of
exercises, enticing for their
frustrating, esoteric bodies
do they think of them with
disdain or regard

what if they were to imagine
themselves as Basho, Saigyo,
and Saigo at afternoon tea
would they scoff at the western
world for having captured the
image of what is
while imagining themselves
of that world

would they laugh together now
and confide deficiencies
or chuckle as if everything
from day to day
was the same
easy, and unchallenging
