Day 305
1:08 pm

A stellar everyday day

Play video games
Stay on the same mission
for three hours
Fall asleep at your
spot on the couch
Wake up
Walk to the kitchen
Stuff a banana down your mouth
Follow it with an apple glazed
doughnut that you’re still chomping
the last bits of while you
sit on the toilet
Go back to the kitchen
Return to the couch with
a buttermilk doughnut
Forget a paper towel so that
all the crumbs fall to the middle
of your t-shirt next to the
lovingly placed remote control
on the right side of your chest
Watch Rachel Maddow
and Keith Olbermann
Read through the Facebook
news feed on your Blackberry
Read the Huffington Post
Play some more video games
Remain stuck in the same mission

Until I close my computer
for the night and
come over to the couch

And you ask me if I
want to watch the West Wing
And you rub my feet that
I dangle in front of you
And you kiss me

And we laugh at
the crumbs on your chest
And you look into my eyes while
you pick them up, one by one,
and stick them in your mouth

And we laugh

A lot

And it’s just another typical
stellar day in Gardena

And I love you
