Day 306
5:14 pm

if i die tomorrow – 1

i will join the peace queens in a place
not called heaven
but a place we only come to know
the name of once we are dead

we each get our own name for it
in fact
and i will get to assign certain
tasks to the living

who will make sure i am cremated
and be there at Oddfellows to
push the buttons that
release the fire

who will consider my writing
read through some
keep none and
distribute the best

who will complete the topography
who will build the webs
who will finish my dreams
who will push them further

who will remember i never
wanted closure, just a good
mixture of mourning and
celebration and continuance

if i die tomorrow
who will know i wasn’t ready yet
