Day 332
10:35 pm

To Serve and Protect (sijo)

eats jewels to feed her belly fire, watches her baby cry
never wanted to be dad, never healed his inner child
two parents crush a life, so watch her wither, so let her die

(title from vicky)

three years from now

1)

we have come this far
so
we will count down
from this point

or, better,
from that point,
ahead

three seasons
ago,
cigarettes

(then) we gave
smoke
to fire,
clouds
to rain,
and
dust
to rest

what (was) living
but to have
a few
goals?

(do we enter
a place with
none

so nothing
is where we see to it
that we go?)

no goals, no pain

(will) i find myself,
the commoner,
the warrior,
and
the priest
.
.
.
the ashes,
the breath,
the teeth

.

.

2)

three years from now
i will either be with baby
or with you
