Day 338
11:30 pm

same old fight

I’ve
begged her too
many times to
listen with her heart

But
she only loves
the satisfaction in
knowing well of
her past

I
have the wrong hands,
too small to wrangle her
trappers

We
tear at each other with
rusty spears and worn
down jabs

But
I will never win a war
with this woman

I
see how her
ghosts’ shadows
have settled, they have
a good laugh at my
expense
