Day 347
2:05 am

and the shadows

there is no reason for charring the
skin of the living through their bones
to their hearts in mere seconds

only when we forget there is
spirit bridging skin and bones,
organs and muscles, that

there is attachment to the body of
others, like kinfolk, grandparents,
and children and friends, to

speed past humanity for the sake
of statement is when souls pass,
and they become shadows
