Day 351
1:19 am

the last ghost

Traipsing over his casket
like an old carcass who
can’t convince the
mortuary to let him in

No one wants to deal
with him
in the living hour
or among the dead

Love Thy

You need not love me
You need to know which
Trash bins are yours

You need not love me
You need to appreciate the
Sleep patterns of bears

You need not love me
You need to understand
There are other kinds of
Books besides your bible

You don’t have to love me
You have to know of the
Propaganda against cats

You don’t have to love me
You have to get an ashtray

You don’t have to love me
You have to notice the lack of
Barking coming from my backyard

You can try to love me
You can attempt dance next
Time you hear the loud music

You can try to love me
You can try to acknowledge
My food bowls keep the raccoons
and possums out of Your yard

You can try to love me
You can try to entertain that
Humans are essentially
Different, that we all will always be
