Day 354
4:30 pm

Hold me now

Hold me now to decision
All my life it only seemed to
Matter whether I knew the
Difference between what
Made me smile and
What made me want to

Hold me now to action
Simply put
Time is passing

Hold me now to my age
It is apparent we are in our
Final bouts of true youth
We are here in a cusp between
What only matters right now
And where later on
Passed us by

Hold me now to a simple moment
When we can lay here
Breathless after a day’s worth
Of the honest hard work we’ve
Just tucked under the sheets
Knowing we moved with the
World in our hearts
Immaculate to our words

Hold me now with softness as
To my cat resting his pink paw
On my forearm while he sleeps
The day away
For while this is happening
I can not budge and I don’t want to

I have no where to go
