Day 5
2:04 am

Focused

“If you’re staring out at the trees,
you’re not focused. If you’re counting
the dots on the ground, you’re not focused.
You gotta take care of business. Pineapple
or Fruit Punch, $5.”
– dude on the A Train to Far Rockaway

Hot hustle on the street,
on the platform, in
the buses, markets,
trolleys, shuttles, trains,

At the club, the ballroom,
the studio, the green room,
the lobby, the photo shoot,
audition, interview, q&a,

On the download, in the
upload, for the website, the
reel, the recording, the EPK,
the opening night, opening
reception, opening line,

In the boardroom,
conference room, city hall
hearing, town hall meeting,
happy hour, after hours,

During class, office hours,
work study, in the lecture
hall, internship, culmination,
graduation ceremony

Most go to the line
Others draw them
Everyone has one

Or
It would not be a
Hustle

“If you’re not transacting,
you’re just acting.
$5.”
