Day 9
4:17 pm

mirrors and souls

In your eyes, there is truth,
the way one can’t help but
notice the reflection of the sun
from your mirror to my cheek

Through a shared space of
darkness, our shadows mix
incomprehensibly so that we
may hold each other to light

We are each others
Knowing glance

I can not truly see without you

(for this mosque, we
stand by you)
