Day 15
11:00 am

Bliss – 1

The morning bed is cool, not
Quite enough for a full covering
But pleasant with my limbs
sticking out of the sheets

Ollie was crescent rolled on his side
facing away from me, as he often
needs space from my constant
barrage of kisses to his entirety

At some point, he turned over and
nested his paws on my arm, like
two new patches of fur suddenly
attached to my body

In that moment I could see
that warmth, that true, actual
warmth is not just a basic need,
but all I really ever need
