Day 18
1:20 am

snowflake birth mother

we singe the clouds with
our foolishness, noisome
thrashers against the sky,
we’ll ask for her forgiveness
and throw tantrums when
she dies

(title from c-k)

no cries, no sniffling
just the sound of bingo cards
hiroshi wins now

persuades his grandkids
to play at the nursery
the grass grows green here

(in memory of Hiroshi Nakamura, 1919-2010)
