Day 23
1:45 am

and they did

she stomped

in my dream

there were many

maybe no one ever captured
the riots and protests in the
concentration camps

was fire

shouting

the women were strong

maybe no one will ever show
me photographs, but I saw
them in my sleep this morning

army of ladies in prison clothing

heavy heels on their feet

they stepped and yelled in time

i am sure this wasn’t just a dream,
they were screaming a message
for us to remember

through cages and wires

between bars and walls

puncturing paper and wood

did you hear them, too?
