Day 38
12:59 am

knuckles: beginning to stray

distance

stance

from across the field of rows
they sowed three seasons ago

once it was called adventure, now
holds the considerations of work

to

two

respond to new, to any response
because interest has a freshness,

can soak the ground with a sound
that surely feels different from plain

water

raw

to the touch, cracked
as they crack, move to

move through malaise
do anything but walk

run

ruin

for no good reason other than
something can feel splendid

when otherwise in the company
of the usual, the familiar, in the

cracks

as they are cracked
