Day 43
7:19 pm

candelabrum of our elders

they were my dreams

until i realized they
were not
dreams

they were not my
ideas

nor my
meanings, nor my
weighted
purpose,
versus, this and that
and

nothing
that mattered at all
to
anything beyond
everything

they were not just
just

they were of
magnificence

a set

of lights

placed along what
seemed a
path

that when the sun
dawned
on me

i realized

was a trail blazed
by
other hands
