Day 48 – green

Day 48
6:00 pm


let them COME FOR ME
every morning, COME

or shall i write come for me
every morning, come



every fiber of their being, to
release through me, shall
be the thing to save me,
shall be what I need to be

fury to the lachanophobic
and never mind them, have
them find cigarettes and
sugar and barrels full of

when all is said and done,
do not blame me for what
I have done to my body, do
not take me with cancer,

do not take me at all, let
me be one with my garden,
verdant, hearty, full and far
away as long as possible






it has come too often to
the homes just around the
corner and the steps of my
front door, let it be close,

let me be far, for decades,
for there is much to be done
and so little time already, and
I have yet to plant much of
