Day 58 – 365×37
3:31 pm

to live in the twilight

where do you stay for most of
your life, lived

living

at the length of broad daylight?
in the breadth of the resting moon?

I want to greet my breath in the moments
of the coming twilight
at dusk
at dawn
and again
at dusk

not where the notes are being erased
from the sheet,
but where music is proclaiming the air

not where the stage is being warmed
by its cues,
but where it is stormed wholeheartedly
by its actors

not blind,
not haphazard,
not impulsed,

not where poets are in the middle of
contemplating poetry,
but while they are singing words
through zesty fingers

not even fearless

where
there is a drawing
from the well of
ultimate
courage,

in
awareness

I shall attempt to approach
within
the moment

I shall be the owl
of my own
clock

I shall be
smiling
at five in the morning

I shall be
past
shall

aware,
in twilight

live,

twilight

I,

twilight
