Day 73
7:30pm

Shithead

She is sending you to me

Here come the guitars and
amps, ready to limp out of
the studio with their cables
between their wheels,

attached
to
blue tape labeled
-Shithead-

Can you believe
that’s all she did?
Yes, we all know you
deserved much worse

But the day approaches, time
for all affairs to be settled, last
bits of evidence that you mattered
once to her will soon be gone

Though she will be out of sight,
the awfully fun part to note is her
request of the supervision and
presence of neutral parties

There’s Switzerland with the keys,
the Monk with the kind-hearted
tongue, and
Me

Interesting and odd?
Or cunning
and brilliantly
suggestive?

Switzerland is sure to help you
load your car, the Monk will likely
stand with compassionate hands in
his pockets and I

I believe I
am, by her subtle request,
relieved of physical and logically
mild-mannered duties

It is quite obvious
I
have been given
a box of tools to become

Staples, nails and
hammer, an oversized white t-shirt,
yellow happy face on the front,
middle finger on the back

There is no good reason for me to be
there, except everyone needs a friend
who just might say what’s in one part
of her otherwise peaceful mind

-Shithead-

She’s sending you to me
