Scale – 1 – city

The scale of a
City
Can not be
Measured by
The ratio of
Helicopters to hummingbirds,
Concrete to cobblestone,
Cars to carpools,

Not without
Humanity or the
Heartbeat of laughter,
Pervasive in
Hard-to-find places
Of peace seekers
Who lock arms
Underneath traps
In cities made of modern
Stone and flourescent smoke

They run towards each other
Because they must

The scale of a city
Is true to its
Assessment
In measuring
How
The heart
Survives
