who will be left to measure you?

hollow or transparent paper weights

or better yet

reviews,
critics circles,
panels,

q&a sessions,
magazine spreads,
billboards,

print ads,
red carpets,
boards,

step and repeats,
agencies,
certificates,

awards,
residency,
fellowship,

peers,
family,
friends,

the trophies,
plaques and
statuettes

or

worse

yet

just due Art

there is no
sublimity
in the person

for pronouncing
they,
themselves

identify
as
Art

Transporters, Carriers,
Vessels or simply
Artists

it is,
really,
not even the story

but the
telling
of it

the difference is
not
magnificence

it is
the
doing
