Day 104
1:10 am

Scale – 28 – peace

i keep thanking
Goodness,
knocking on wood,
thinking of privilege and
musing on the next project,
the next show, the next time I’m
going to eat noodles and breathe in
Gratitude
like she’s my best friend

And, yes, there is
Joy and Light and
there is so much
Love
ringing my doorbell, at
times it does feel like getting word
from a long-lost pen pal at every turn

But
the fact
remains

It
is not
enough

We
all know
this

Until i’ve
done more,
worked harder to leap at the triggers,
disarm the bombs, in no figurative sense,
what the fuck are we doing
is pointless
and
revolution is around the corner
didn’t spell out the details well enough

There will be uneasiness resting in my stomach
and i think she’s here for good

But
i’ve decided
to keep
Unease
i’m going to love her, too

Until any one and
every
body
can say
Dignity is their mirror,
Abundance their life partner and the
World
their soul mate

Until i can stare
Peace
in the face and know she is flesh and blood
