Day 105
10:21 am

everything December

i’d like to officially curse
December

sometimes

maybe every other
moment

today

we had a rehearsal room
full of generosity

waiting

for us in every seat, onstage,
at the side table

full

cinnamon-baked smiles, spicy
fried music

everywhere

like a commercial with a big bow
tied around it

children

laughing and singing their hearts
out

everything

these days seem to make me
cry

December

is full of this stuff and I hang at the
side like sap

dripping

on myself, leaving stains on everyone’s
shoulders
