Day 107
8:03 pm

not as virtuous

instructions: remember there was a time
when you and I were scavengers for parts
of each others hearts

I shared my treasure with princesses and
queens, hoping only your well was full when
I returned

You were not as kind, hiding my secrets
in pots you promised to water then laid to
rest in a desert bed

assessment: we withered, but we came
first from fire and water and neither ever
smothered the other

request: remember this and forget this
equally, look at me with fond memories
and a tinge of regret
