Day 120
2:06 am

morning pause

i never thought
it would work out

but there you were
still here when i
woke up this morning

and who knew you’d
rise before me and
fry up some rainbows
for breakfast

all i could do was
shake my head in
disbelief and learn
that something like
impossible is good

Letter of Intent, a.

i wish to beckon newness
in every breath of a word
used a million times before

i want to treasure madness and
trust in the defeat of all necessary
swords and canons, give me
triumph over hearts and retain
the bodies for some party

i shall attempt to understand that longing
has no place in my life except to will it
