Day 127
3:33 pm

that is love

you, like our kitten (looking right at us
while hanging on the outside of the
kitchen window),
are my daily,

his scratches on every protective fabric,
including my skin

your crumbs strewn about you near the
bed and all over the couch

my forehead wrinkles into a frown, my
sighs pretend to be flustered, aghast

but my smile claps for more, my heart
nods with wild laughter – why is that?

held with steadfastness, love
adores foolishness
and knows no bounds, it
abandons formality and could care
less about keeping the house clean
