Day 149
10:00 pm

donut hell hole

you crave the midnight
donut run

i crave the next day, about
20 or so hours later, when
there are only three left
and the ones i like are
getting a little stale so the
temptation has lessened
and we’re closer to the
greasy pink cardboard
laying alone and spent in
the garbage can

and i hate that i love when
you crave the midnight
donut run

no apologies, my friend

did you see that young man

he apologized for his lack of

behind shy eyes and a rocking left

but at least he smiled when we

we write because we need to

his words were a plea to save a friend’s

and all i can do is think about

so who’s the pro?
